Tree view
- Goal: long-range 5 GHz backbone. Connect distant communes with hill/town-hall relays.
- Phases:
- Radio/energy sizing (Info). Pick antennas, power budget.
- RPi/mini-PC deployment scripts (To do). Standardize node setup.
- PtP supervision (To do). Monitor link health.
- Optional Internet gateway (To do). VSAT/4G with quotas.
- Checklist: PtP alignment, QoS/VLAN router, services server, solar power. Field kit essentials.
Goal
Link distant regions (30–40 km per hop) with hill/town-hall stations, solar power, site-to-site VPN. Complements V2/V3 vectors.
Phases
- Info Radio sizing (LHG/CPE610, 23–27 dBi) and power (250–300 Wc + 150–200 Ah). Ensure range and uptime.
- To do Deployment script for RPi/mini-PC (WireGuard, cache, local messaging, bundle exporter). Repeatable installs.
- To do Lightweight PtP supervision (SNMP or metrics). Alert on link degradation.
- To do Optional “Internet gateway” mode (VSAT/4G) with quotas. Controlled backhaul.
Site checklist
- PtP pair (alignment, surge protection, 6–12 m mast). Physical layer ready.
- OpenWrt/MikroTik router (QoS, VLAN, monitoring). Traffic shaping for mayors vs. public.
- Mini-server (WireGuard, mayors’ services, bundle export). Local brain and storage.
- Solar power (panel, battery, MPPT, ground). Autonomy off-grid.
